Email Domain Setup

Send booking emails from your own domain for better deliverability.

By default, emails are sent from [email protected]. A custom email domain sends from your own domain (e.g. [email protected]), improving deliverability and brand trust.

Setup Steps

1

Go to email domain settings

Navigate to Dashboard > Settings > Email Domain.

2

Enter your domain

Type your domain (e.g. yourbusiness.com).

3

Add DNS records

Add the three DNS records shown: SPF, DKIM, and return-path.

4

Click "Verify"

BookingMachine checks all three records.

5

Set "From" address

Choose your sender address (e.g. [email protected]).

Required DNS Records

RecordTypePurpose
SPFTXTAuthorizes BookingMachine to send email on behalf of your domain
DKIMTXTCryptographic email signing for authenticity verification
Return-PathCNAMEBounce handling — ensures bounced emails are processed correctly

Tip: The exact DNS record values are shown in your dashboard after entering your domain. Copy them exactly as displayed — they include unique identifiers for your account.

Verification

After adding DNS records, click "Verify" in your settings. The system checks all three records. Once verified, all outgoing emails switch to your domain within minutes.

What Changes

After verification, all outgoing emails (booking confirmations, reminders, review requests, invoices) are sent from your custom domain. This improves:

  • Deliverability — Emails are less likely to land in spam

  • Brand trust — Customers see your domain, not bookingmachine.io

  • Reply handling — Customer replies go to your email address
