How to price a move-out cleaning, and book it without a site visit.

A move-out clean is a deep clean of an empty home, judged by someone else: the landlord, the property manager or the buyer at the walkthrough. Customers expect the inside of cupboards and drawers, the inside of the oven and fridge, baseboards, light switches and marks on the walls. Write the list into the service description, so the customer knows what the price buys and the walkthrough has nothing to argue about.

Because the home is empty, the work is more predictable than a lived-in deep clean, which is what makes a fixed price by size safe to publish.

Bedrooms and bathrooms do most of the work: Angi puts a studio at $90 to $130 and a three-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment at $180 to $300. Then the extras that are separate tasks, carpets above all, which Angi puts at $120 to $240 on a move-out. In the demo, a move-out clean of a three-bedroom, two-bathroom home comes to $270 before extras.

Price the oven, the fridge, the carpets and the inside windows as add-ons, each with the extra time it takes. The booking then blocks the hours the job needs instead of the hours a standard clean would take.

Most move-out problems are about access, not cleaning. Ask on the booking form how you will get in, when the keys go back, and whether the water and power will still be on. Custom questions can be shown for the move-out service only, so your regular customers never see them.

The date matters more than on any other clean, because the walkthrough will not wait. A deposit at booking holds it for both of you, and the notice you ask for before a change is shown on the confirmation.

In the UK the same job is an end of tenancy clean, checked against the inventory at check-out. In Australia it is a bond clean, checked by the property manager at the final inspection before the bond is returned. The pricing works the same way; the UK and Australia pages have the local rates.
