Deposits and no-show fees for cleaners, set up once.

A cancelled clean on the morning is a day you cannot sell again. A deposit changes how people book: someone who has paid part of the price is more likely to be home, or to tell you in time if they cannot be. It matters most on the long jobs, the deep cleans and move-outs that fill a whole day.

Choose the size of the deposit by what you would lose. The deposit calculator works it out from your prices and how often bookings fall through. The demo takes 25%, which is $54 on a $216 clean.

Set the notice you ask for, in hours, in your booking policies. It is shown on the confirmation and on the booking page, together with how to reach you, so the rule is agreed at booking rather than argued about at the door. A short message of your own can replace the standard wording.

Turn on the no-show fee and choose it as a percentage of the booking. When you mark a booking as a no-show, the fee is charged to the card saved at booking, if there is one. Tell customers about it in your change notice message, so it is never a surprise.

Most lockouts are about access, not intent. Ask on the form how you will get in, whether anyone will be home and whether there are pets to shut away, and the answers arrive with the booking.
